Japanese Music
Love Psychedelico - My favorite
japanese band. When I left japan I listened to "Love Psychedelico
Orchestra" constantly. Nostalgic girl rock
Chara
- Super girly alternative. I like her.
Judy
and Mary - Good
Halcali
- Awesome pop. Female duo. The same electronic backing as
Morning Musume but a little older and cooler.
Yuzu
- Well-intentioned folk duo. Kids who like them
are "Yuzuko". #1 covered band by street musicians.
Puffy - Hyper not exactly corporate pop
Ua - Japan's not so good version of Bjork. She does a
good cover of "because the night".
Tommy February - pop
Morning Musume - Sappy corporate pop crap, but better than
Britney. Constantly changing group of 8 or so girls, from 13 to
20 or so. Incredibly produced.
Smap - boy band crap. They're a combination of U2 and
Backstreet boys. They've been around forever, and have their own
variety cooking/comedy sketch/interview show on tv.
Hirai Ken - crap
