3rd year boys who just graduated. The sign says something like "follow your dream". These guys were pretty quiet all year. It's just like it always is, everyone comes out and talks to you when they're about to leave.

Me and the 1st year kids who did speech competition summer 2000. From left Chihiro, Rina, Yoohei, me, Kanae, Takumi, Satomi. Yoohei has crazy loud english and totally dominates his class, he answers every question. Really smart kid. he's kenichi's brother. They did this speech competition last summer after having only 1 semester of english, since the school year starts in April. Everyone kind of muttered, and then yoohei would be there yelling and really giving the english a good accent.

This is on my ride home from school. The ride is mostly through fields. This is one of the canals, and an old lady sitting in the field. Only old people work in the fields, usually about 50 or 60 years old, outside all day all summer in the 34C (~90F) weather wearing lots of clothes to avoid sunburn. I don't get it.

Rice fields in the middle of Nankoku. There's not much of a city center, from almost everywhere you can see a field, or at least some farming vehicle... it's kind of nice to have little patches of intense life everywhere. page 1 page 2 page 3 page 4 page 5
