2nd grade girls. miki, on the right, has no fear. Most girls here are embarassed to talk during english class (although they can be really loud outside of class), but she isn't, she's always running around, singing, and yelling out stories. Fun to have in class. Of course, the stories are almost never in english. but at least the class is excited.
Two of my favorite 3rd year girls, Yuki and Ayano. Yuki has great english and works really hard, she's going to the best high school in the prefecture next year. Ayano is really quiet, but she always gets into these giggling fits in the middle of class. We laughed a lot the other day when I asked her what 'ki ni naru' meant. The real meaning is 'to notice', but if you misinterpret it it can also mean 'become tree' so she said "it means 'become tree'".
Takumi, crazy 1st year kid. Between periods he throws balled-up socks at other kids, tackles people, or plays tag by running in and out of the classroom and slamming the sliding doors in people's faces, but during class he usually sleeps. He'd be on ritalin if he was in the states. He's a fun kid.
